where to start?
Everyone has different issues to treat for their own skin, and the type of skin you have depends greatly on the products that are going to work best for you. My skincare routine is for combination/oily skin.
Combination, meaning that I struggle with both dry and oily skin, but oily, I also get oily in my t-zone.
Currently, because it is winter time, I am having to use more hydrating products.

TIP: If you struggle with dry skin, anything with hyaluronic acid in it will give you the moisture it's needing, naturally. Our bodies naturally produce hyaluronic acid to provide moisture to the body. It's actually used for many places in our bodies such as eye fluid, joints, and of course skin and hair.
Beginning with makeup remover, the Simple Water Boost Micellar Water has got to be my favorite makeup remover. I am a strong believer in micellar water as it has fewer ingredients that our skin doesn't need because it's practically water. It also feels a lot more comfortable than an oil-based makeup remover. This also will not clog your pores, which is something we want!
Next, with a cleanser, I am finding that the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser works great! I have been a huge fan of the brand CeraVe, as it always gives my skin a gentle and fragrance-free cleanse and I use it on my eyes because it's that gentle.
Next, I use an eye cream. Most people advise to use this as last resort, but I use it after my skin is cleansed because I don't want it to mix in with any of the stronger products (such as a glycolic acid), as the eye area can be sensitive. The Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream has been my favorite. I've been using for a few months now and I believe it's a great to moisturize and brighten those dark under eyes, and give you a youthful look without any of the intense anti-aging properties!
Moving onto a toner, I use the Biore Witch Hazel Toner Facial Treatment - which is great for treating acne. The main ingredients in this toner are salicylic acid and witch hazel. Witch hazel is a natural ingredient that is mostly used as an anti-inflammatory for the skin. Salicylic acid can be drying the skin if it is used to often, but its all about balance with the other products! So both of these products are sure to help your skin if you struggle with acne.
The Drunk Elephant C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum has been a holy grail in my skincare routine. This vitamin c serum specifically does the best job of brightening. Vitamin C is something that everyone should try out, as it brightens, evens, dissipates dark spots on the skin, and prevents the skin against future wrinkles because it protects our skin from the sun - and as they say, you're never too young to start anti-aging. What it does is protects the skin from free radicals which come from the sun, preventing sunburns and long-term age spots.
TIP: If you are someone who loves to save money like me, I would consider investing in a few high-end products that you know will work for your skin.

Next my most recommended product is the fresh Rose Deep Hydration Moisturizer. This moisturizer has evened out my skin, making it supple and moisturized, and I give it most of the credit for the overall appearance of my skin. This moisturizer has "Time-release hydropatches, angelica leaf extract, and an advanced combination of hyaluronic acids form a protective moisturizing veil to help attract and seal in moisture for a full 24 hours of intense hydration.”
Next, an oil is something I would consider to be optional for myself, but if you are looking for some extra moisture then I would highly consider it. In my opinion, the best oil in the market is the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil. I find that it allows me to feel like I'm getting the extra moisture without feeling like I'm going to break out 🙆🏼♀️
Finally, I love using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask for my lips before bed. It has made my lips so incredibly soft and moisturized, even throughout the day! I also will use it as a lip balm when I need the extra hydration during the winter months.

TIP: Sometimes it is easy to get excited about trying new products, but staying consistent with your products is key to see long-term results.
xo,
Bailey
